What Are The Categories Of Armored Cables?

1. Steel tape armored cable: galvanized steel tape armored cable, double steel tape armored cable

2. Aluminum or aluminum alloy wire armored cable: 4c x 95 sq. mm. aluminum armored cable, 300 mm2 aluminum armored cable, 16mm2 armored 4 core aluminum cable.

Steel tape armored cable

They are often abbreviated as STA (steel belt armor).

STA cable is suitable for underground laying and can withstand external mechanical force, but cannot withstand large pulling force.

Aluminum wire armored cable

The cable is often abbreviated AWA. Due to the non-magnetic nature of aluminum, there will not be any induced current in the armor due to the current flowing in the main conductor.
