What is irradiation cross-linked cable?

Irradiated cables use high-energy electron beams generated by electron accelerators to bombard insulation layers and sheaths to break polymer chains, and each broken point becomes a free radical. Free radicals are unstable and must be recombined with each other. After recombination, the original chain molecular structure becomes a three-dimensional network molecular structure to form a cross-link.There are  xlpe cable such as h1z2z2-k 4 mm2、h1z2z2-k  1*50、cable 6mm solar cable、solar cable 6 mm² h1z2z2-k photovoltaic cable etc.

Characteristics of irradiated cross-linked cables

1. Heat resistance: The long-term allowable working temperature of the cable can reach 125°C, and the carrying capacity is 15-50% higher than that of cables of the same specification.

2. Mechanical properties: Irradiated cross-linked cables have good resistance to environmental stress cracking and wear resistance, are stronger than PVC and PE in bearing concentrated mechanical stress, and have excellent mechanical and physical properties

3. Electrical performance: The insulation resistance of the irradiated cable is large, and the dielectric loss tangent is small, which will not change with the change of temperature.

4. Green and environmental protection: It adopts halogen-free environmental protection materials and will not release harmful gases when burned. It is an environmental protection product advocated by the state.
