The temperature resistance of the cable is different due to the different insulation and sheathing materials. The temperature resistance of photovoltaic cables is from -40℃—+ 120℃.
Is solar cable different to other cable?
To understand the specialty of solar cable,we need back to the photovolatic system,because in some way the application scene decides most of aspects of things,that can be regarded as the general thoery.Firstly photovolatic system is the device generating the electrical power,that require our solar cable has got to own good insulation perform,otherwise potential damage couldn't be predicted.Secondly photovolatic system will exposed to the strong sun light,that require our solar cable must be highly resistant to high temperature as well as ultraviolet ray,once the insulation materials is less uniform to the require,the use age of solar cable will decrease rapidly.For our household wiring cable,uausally we don't need those strict require,otherwise the cost of manufacturing will too high.
How is the solar cable manufactured?
Compared to the others, the production procedure of solar cable will much complicated.we can take silicone rubber cable to do this comparison.
1.Conductor: tinned copper wire soft conductor stranded.In this aspect,there are no much difference.
2.Insulation: Solar cable need use halogen-free low smoke flame retardant irradiated crosslinked polyolefin;Silicone rubber cable only need good quality silicone materials.In China,in general for better quality of solar cable, manufacturer need import the advanced extruction device to ensure the halogen-free low smoke flame retardant irradiated crosslinked polyolefin can form perfectly.
How to choose the solar cable?
Now in the market,UL and TUV certification both are the authoritative certificate for solar cable.If you are buyer,recently you have a procurement plan,whether the vendor owns UL or TUV or not is the first factor you need consider.Then you can investigate the power of vendor,for example,the vendor is the manufacturer or trader,how much is their capacity monthly etc.
