Definition of wire and cable: Power  Wire and cable are electrical products used to transmit electrical energy, transmit signals and realize electromagnetic energy conversion.
 

Classification of wires and cables:

According to the manufacturing process, structural characteristics, functional requirements, and product use, it can be divided into five categories:

1. Bare wires and bare conductors - refer to products with only conductors and no insulating layer, including copper, aluminum and other metal and composite metal round single wires, stranded wires, flexible wires, etc. for overhead transmission lines of various structures. Profiles and profiles. The main process points of this product are pressure processing, such as smelting, calendering, drawing, stranding/compression stranding, etc. Main use areas: suburban and rural areas.
 

2. Power cable - Power cable is a wire product used to transmit and distribute high-power electrical energy in the main line of the power system. Including 1-500kV and above various voltage levels, various insulation power cables. The main technical procedures of this kind of cable are drawing, twisting, insulation extrusion, cable forming, armoring, sheath extrusion, etc. The various product models are different, and the process combination is different. Mainly used: power transmission in power generation, distribution, transmission, transformation and power supply lines.

3. Power Wires and cables for electrical equipment - various power supply connecting lines that directly transmit electrical energy from the distribution point of the power system to various electrical equipment and appliances, various industrial and agricultural electrical installation lines and wire and cable for control signals . This type of product is widely used and has many varieties, and the structure and performance of the cable should be determined in combination with the characteristics of the equipment used and the environmental conditions of use (the use voltage is mostly 1KV and below). Therefore, in addition to those large general-purpose products, there are many dedicated special cables.

4. Communication cables and optical cables - Communication cables are cables that transmit telephone, telegraph, television, radio, fax, data and other telecommunication information. The structure size of such products is usually small and uniform, and the manufacturing precision is very high.

5. Magnet wire - insulated wire used to manufacture coils or windings in electrical products. Also called winding wire. Mainly used for various motors, instruments and so on.

1- Classification or usage number, expressed with the first letter of Pinyin. For example, JK means overhead line; C means marine cable; K means control cable and so on.

2- Conductive wire core code. Such as T copper; L aluminum; G steel; H alloy and so on.

3- Insulation layer code. Such as V PVC insulation, Y polyethylene insulation, XLPE cross-linked polyethylene insulation, X rubber insulation, E ethylene propylene rubber insulation, etc.

4-Sheath code. Such as V PVC sheath, Y polyethylene sheath, etc.

5-Shape feature code. Such as B flat, Q light, R soft and so on.

6- Outer sheath code. If it is represented by numbers, its meaning is as shown in the table below, the code of the outer sheath of the armored layer.

7- The code used to indicate the particularity of the product, for example, BV-90 indicates that the heat resistance level is 90℃.
