Photovoltaic Panels Tarrifs Continue Except Solar DC Wire

According the relative latest news from media, the US International Trade Commission (ITC) said the United States official government's decision in 2018 to impose tariffs on imported photovoltaic equipment include the photovoltaic panels (the solar dc wire and cable are not included, which belong to photovoltaic accessories) remains a necessary measure.

The committee said it would make a recommendation by December 8 on whether U.S. President Joe Biden should extend the tariffs. Industry insiders expect Biden to make a final decision before the four-year tariff plan expires in February and may not follow the ITC's recommendation.

Shares of FirstSolar inc., the largest U.S. photovoltaic panel maker, reportedly rose 3.4% on Nov. 24, while photovoltaic installer Sunrun inc. 's shares fell 4.2%.

When Biden took office, many in the U.S. pv industry saw little chance of extending the tariffs. Some in the industry even speculated that Biden would move to remove the tariffs. But that hope was quickly dashed.
