1. Different rated voltage
Solar DC cable: 600/100V or new standard 1000/1500V;
Common cable: 300/500V, 450/750V, or 600/1000V (YJV/VV series)
2. Different adaptability to the environment
Solar DC cable: high temperature resistance, cold resistance, oil resistance, acid, alkali and salt resistance, rain resistance, uv resistance, flame retardant, environmental protection, can be used in the environment of severe climate, service life of more than 25 years.
Common cable: generally used for indoor laying, buried pipe threading and connection of electrical equipment, etc., with certain temperature and oil resistance, but can not be exposed outdoors or in harsh environment, the service life is generally based on the actual situation, no special requirements.

#1. Insulation
Double Insulation, helps it to work under high temperature and provides more safety.
DC Wire is double-coated whereas AC wire is single coated. It is XLPO, flame retardant, halogen-free, and electron-beam cross-linked. This is insulated by a plastic cover for extra safety. It also works at high temperatures.
#2. Tinned Copper
A wire should be made up of tinned copper. A tinned copper wire is Zinc-coated which protects it from rust and other environmental hazards. It looks like an Aluminum wire, but it is just coated with a Zinc layer.
#3. Current Capacity
A wire should have the appropriate capacity, otherwise it will burn and cause damage to all wiring connections and appliances.
#4. Standards
DC Wire should be UV (Ultra Violet) because it is used outdoors in Solar Panels. It is TUV & MNRE Certified for solar panel installation.
