Welding cables can be seen everywhere in our lives. What is a welding cable? Why is the welding cable not called photovoltaic cable? What is the function of welding cable? We can have a superficial understanding of what is a welding cable.

The electric welding cable is single-core, the conductor is oxygen-free copper, the diameter of the wire is small, and the number of wires is large. Generally, the multi-strand copper wire is twisted into a strand, and then the multi-strand is twisted into a wire, so the electric welding cable is thicker, with hundreds of copper wires.

The conductor is covered with a layer of heat-resistant polyester film for insulation. The electric welding cable belongs to the rubber insulated cable. It is used for the secondary side wiring of the electric welding machine and the connection of the electric welding pliers and the special cable for the electric welding machine.

Such cables have high current and low voltage. The sheath material is made of natural rubber or neoprene mixture, which has properties such as heat resistance, oil resistance, and flame retardant. Therefore, it can be used in different situations.
