6 Minutes to know the difference between photovoltaic cable and ordinary cable

Published by Author: Joey Wan April 16,2022

Photovoltaic cable is a photovoltaic special cable, mainly used in photovoltaic power plants, with high temperature resistance, cold resistance, oil resistance, acid and alkali resistance, ultraviolet rays, flame retardant environmental protection, long service life and other advantages, mainly used in harsh environmental conditions; commonly used models are PV1-F, H1Z2Z2-K.

The characteristics of photovoltaic cables are determined by their cable special insulation material and sheath material, we call it crosslinked PE, after irradiation of the irradiation accelerator, the molecular structure of the cable material will change, thereby providing its performance.

The difference between photovoltaic cable and ordinary cable

1. Photovoltaic cable:

Conductors: copper conductors or tinned copper hundred conductors

Insulation: Irradiated cross-linked polyolefin insulation

Sheath: Irradiated cross-linked polyolefin insulation

2. Ordinary cable:

Conductors: copper conductors or tinned copper conductors

Insulation: PVC or XLPE insulation

Sheath: PVC sheath

3. The ordinary cable can be seen from the above that the conductor used is consistent with the photovoltaic cable.

4, ordinary cable insulation and sheathing can be seen from the above is different from photovoltaic cables.

5. Ordinary cables are only suitable for laying in ordinary environments, while photovoltaic cables can be used for laying environments with harsh environments.
