Australia introduces new regulations to ensure the "healthy" development of the rooftop photovoltaic industry!
New federal government-backed rules aimed at weeding out shoddy rooftop pv operators and preventing fraudulent retail and installation practices will come into effect on April 1, foreign media reported.
For designers and installers of rooftop PV systems, the new documentation requirements include a written statement of compliance confirming that all relevant design and installation standards have been met in accordance with the requirements of the Scale Renewable Energy Program program and local, state and regional rules.
The statement must also confirm that the installer has a copy of the design and that the PV system is installed as specified, including electrical work done by a licensed electrician using SCALe-approved PV modules and inverters.
