Solar power extension cord, mainly used in photovoltaic power stations, has the advantages of high temperature resistance, cold resistance, oil resistance, acid and alkali resistance, UV protection, flame retardant environmental protection, long service life, etc. It is mainly used in harsh climatic conditions; commonly used models are PV1-F, H1Z2Z2-K.
Extension wire for solar panel are constantly exposed to sunlight, and solar systems are often used in harsh environmental conditions, such as high temperatures and UV radiation. In Europe, sunny days will result in on-site temperatures of up to 100°C for solar systems. Currently, the various materials we have available are PVC, rubber, TPE and high quality cross-link materials, but unfortunately there are silicone rubber insulated cables rated at 90°C, and PVC insulated and sheathed cable rated at 70°C It is also often used outdoors. In order to save costs, many speciality building contractors do not choose solar power extension cords for solar energy systems, but choose ordinary pvc insulated and sheathed cables to replace extension wire for solar panel. Obviously, this will greatly affect the service life of the system.
The characteristics of solar power extension cords are determined by the special insulating materials and sheathing materials for electrical cables, which we call cross-linked PE, also called as XLPE. After being irradiated by an irradiation accelerator, the molecular structure of the cable material will change, thereby providing its performance in all aspects.

2. Ordinary PVC insulated and sheathed cable

5. Ordinary Solar power extension cords are only suitable for laying in ordinary environments, while extension wire for solar panel can be used for laying in harsh environments.
