JZD Cable Wins 30KM High Tension Aluminum Power Cable Order in Latin America

JZD Cable has signed a major agreement with Fluor Chile Ingenieria Y Construccion SA, a Latin American engineering firm, to provide high tension aluminum power cabling solutions for the large wind farm, continuing to promote renewable energy.  

Under the agreement, JZD Cable will supply the wind farm with 30 km of cable, mainly including 36KV XLPE insulated PVC sheathed extra high tension aluminum single core cable, 25KV XLPE insulated high voltage aluminum single core power cable and 15KV XLPE high voltage aluminum cable with the first deliveries to be made in May 2022.  

The large wind farm has a capacity of 123 megawatts and produces 1,400 gigawatt hours of electricity a year, equivalent to the electricity used by more than 50,000 homes in the country. It will install 80 wind turbines on eight hectares of land, thereby reducing CO2 emissions by 1.2 million tonnes a year.

According to the plan, the wind farm will be connected to the grid in the fourth quarter of 2023.
