Phnom Penh, the bustling capital and economic heart of Cambodia, embarked on a major national infrastructure project: the construction of a new, large-scale airport. This project demanded modern construction methods and a reliable, high-capacity electrical supply system. The scale of the project exceeded local cable manufacturing capacity, necessitating international procurement to source the required volume of high-quality power cables.

In September 2021, a Chinese project manager working on-site in Cambodia found JZD Cable online. After initial contact shifted to direct communication, detailed discussions began. The client, representing the contractor, had stringent requirements due to the project’s national significance. Following technical consultations, JZD Cable provided free samples of XLPE insulated power cables for verification.

The client’s team conducted comprehensive laboratory tests, including critical assessments of the PVC sheathing (flame retardancy) and copper conductors (conductivity and voltage withstand). Successfully passing these rigorous tests was a mandatory prerequisite for any supplier.

The positive test results paved the way for order negotiations. The final requirement was substantial: approximately 150,000 meters of various cable types and specifications. While initial pricing discussions were challenging, the client, backed by government project funding, secured the necessary budget approval by mid-October 2021.

A formal contract was issued, stipulating a 30% deposit and a 3.5-month production period to accommodate the complex, high-volume order. Upon receipt of the deposit, JZD Cable immediately scheduled production.

Throughout the production cycle until completion in mid-January 2022, we maintained transparent communication with the client, including video updates. Prior to final payment, the client requested and received visual proof (photos/video) of the completed cables loaded for shipment. After the balance payment was secured, the entire shipment of 150,000 meters was dispatched from Shenzhen port.
