In late July 2021, our sales manager received a call from a trader inquiring about flat cable. A challenge arose as we did not have a pre-existing BS6004 test report for this exact product. Through proactive communication, it was agreed that the client would fund sending a sample to a BS6004-accredited testing body. The results were successful—the cable fully complied, and an official test report was issued.

With the certification barrier overcome, the trader requested a final price. We offered an FOB Shenzhen​ price, providing cost efficiency for their export process. Satisfied, the client issued a purchase contract with a 2.5-month production period and paid a 30% deposit. Our procurement and production teams immediately began sourcing materials and manufacturing the BS6004 6242Y cables.

Production was completed in just over two months. When requesting the balance payment, the trader, having only received a deposit from their UK client, needed time to collect funds. After a short delay, full payment was received. Three container trucks transported the cables to Shenzhen port for shipment to the UK.

Approximately a month after delivery, the trader contacted us with excellent feedback. The end-user, a major UK decorating company, was highly satisfied with the cable’s performance and compliance.
