Australia, renowned for its stunning natural landscapes and unique wildlife, has vast areas of undeveloped land with high tourism potential. To enhance the visitor experience in these developing regions—addressing needs like lighting and device charging—the Australian government and local developers have actively promoted the construction of commercial tourism zones. This surge in development created a high demand for reliable construction materials, particularly electrical cables, which are not abundantly produced locally. Consequently, procurement companies increasingly turned to online global markets, with many discovering that high-quality cables are often manufactured in China.

In June 2021, an inquiry from an Australian buyer named Oliver landed on JZD Cable’s international website. Oliver expressed interest in our cables for a tourism zone expansion. Initial discussions revealed a need for multiple cable types, but communication stalled as Oliver sought both high quality and low cost, leading him to explore other suppliers. Two weeks later, he returned with a clear, non-negotiable requirement: all cables must comply with Australian standards and hold SAA certification. We immediately confirmed our products met this standard. Skeptical, Oliver requested proof. Our sales team provided detailed photos, videos, and the official certificate numbers for independent verification on authoritative websites. After three days of rigorous checks, Oliver’s trust was established, and price negotiations on an FOB Shenzhen basis began.

Following agreed terms, Oliver requested samples. We first supplied SAA-certified flat cables in specifications like 2×0.75mm² and 3×0.75mm². After consultation with local contractors, Oliver requested additional sizes. A second batch of samples was sent. For over three weeks, there was no update—until late September, when Oliver messaged to inform us that he had sent our samples to an SAA-accredited body for official testing. The results confirmed our cables’ full compliance and high quality. Final discussions then focused on logistics, and despite initial concerns about cost, sea freight was agreed upon as the most viable option given the order’s value.

With all conditions met, Oliver issued a purchase contract with a 90-day production window. After signing, he promptly paid a 30% deposit, securing the order.

Our procurement and production teams promptly sourced materials like copper and PVC to manufacture the SAA-certified cables according to Oliver’s specifications. Production was completed by late December 2021. Upon requesting the balance payment, Oliver, exercising due diligence, asked for the shipping note and photos of the loaded containers. We provided these the following morning. Satisfied, he settled the payment. The goods were shipped from Shenzhen port in early January 2022 and arrived in Australia approximately 25 days later.

Oliver’s feedback was highly positive. The cables performed excellently during installation by local electricians, who praised the quality and ease of handling. This successful partnership led to Oliver offering JZD Cable a long-term supply contract.
