Eastern Steel Group Berhad, located in the Kalong Industrial Area of Kemaman, Terengganu, Malaysia, experienced significant market success with its steel products. However, the company faced challenges in recent years due to various factors widely reported in news, including equity transfers and pandemic impacts, which led to temporary production halts at some facilities.
In 2021, amidst a general resumption of work and production, Eastern Steel Group vigorously revitalized its steel marketing. The company hired a group of highly experienced steel experts and implemented upgrades in steel quality. These efforts quickly regained strong consumer preference, restored previous production capacity, and attracted new investment. To accommodate the expanding workforce, the group allocated approximately 53 hectares (about 800 Chinese mu) of land to construct new dormitories for its experts. During the planning phase, a significant need for high-quality cables was identified.
